Album Delays

Good God's Urge's release was heavily delayed. Initially, demos provided by the band to Warner Brothers Records were rejected, requiring the band to go back and rework their recordings. Additionally, bassist Martyn LeNoble left the band to deal with his substance abuse problems before the album was completed.

As a result, a number of other artists make guest appearances on this album, including ex-Minutement bassit Mike Watt who joined the band for the album's supporting tour. Flea and Dave Navarro of the Red Hot Chili Peppers appear on the track Freeway, and Daniel Ash and David J of Love & Rockets appear on the song Porpoise Head.

Alternate Version

The Japanese version of this album includes the bonus track Dominator. Dominator is also available on the Tahitian Moon single.
