Jane Bainter (b. ??) was the house mate of Perry Farrell and Eric Avery who was the inspiration of the band name Jane's Addiction and the subject of the song Jane Says. Jane's last name wasn't well known until she was specifically thanked in the liner notes of Kettle Whistle. She has since done a few interviews which debunked a lot of rumors such as that she was dead or a prostitute.
