Rev is a compilation of Perry Farrell material. It features Jane's Addiction and Porno For Pyros songs along with two previously unreleased Farrell solo tracks. It is purported that Farrell released this album to free himself from contractual obligation to Warner Brothers. His true debut solo effort was released by Virign Records. This album was released on November 9, 1999.

Alternate Versions

There are 3 promotional versions of this album. The first is a full promo release that contains the entire album. There are two sampler versions that contain the two solo Farrell tracks and the Jane's Addiction tracks Mountain Song and Been Caught Stealing (remix). The samplers are identical other than their album artwork.

Tracks 1 and 2 are previously unreleased Perry Farrell solo songs.

Tracks 3-7 and 15 are Jane's Addiction songs. Track 3 is from the Been Caught Stealing single. Tracks 4-7 are album versions. Track 13 is a Grateful Dead cover taken from the Dedicated tribute album.

Tracks 8-13 and 16 are Porno For Pyros songs. Tracks 8-12 are album versions. Track 13 is from the Hard Charger single and the Private Parts soundtrack. Track 16 is from the Tahitian Moon single and the Cable Guy soundtrack.
