Xiola Blue (b. Lisa Chester ???, d. June, 1987 ) was a former girlfriend of Perry Farrell and the subject matter of the Jane's Addicton song Three Days and Psi Com song Xiola. Xiola Blue actually went by the moniker Xiola Bleu, however due to a misspelling on Perry's part, the spelling of her name has invariably been altered. Xiola is depicted as the center figure on the cover of Ritual de lo Habitual, and appears in a photograph of that album's liner notes.
Xiola was only fourteen when she and Perry first met.
Xiola died of a heroin overdose in her apartment in the East Twenties of New York in June of 1987. She was buried outside of Detroit, MI near where her mother lives. This was after the song Three Days was written.
Xiola was also close to the band Fishbone. She dated vocalist Angelo Moore for a while after Perry and was a very close friend of keyboardist Chris Downd. Chris had the unenviable task of being the one to notify Perry about the death of their mutual friend.
Real Name
Xiola's real name was not known for many years. Jen, a childhood friend of Xiola, released her first name back in 1996, and Casey Niccoli released her last name a few years later.
Remembrance
Xiola's mother doesn't want people to remember her daughter as a junkie, but instead as an incredible person and artist. She has no interest in Jane's Addiction, nor her daughter's part in their history.
Perry and Casey have both said Xiola's artistic creativity was unparalleled to anyone whom they had ever met. She was a unique person who had positive affect on everyone she encountered.
